Country Cuts Barber Shop delivered a major community win at this year’s Back-to-School Free Haircut Day, held Sunday in the Buckingham Publix Plaza. In just a few hours, barbers completed nearly 100 free haircuts, giving boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade a sharp start to the new school year.
Free school supplies were handed out alongside the haircuts, making the event a one-stop boost for families getting ready for the first bell.
Owner Billy Youngs said the turnout exceeded expectations.
“It was awesome—never been so busy in such a short amount of time,” Youngs said. “Brought joy to my heart for sure.”
The event was made possible through an outpouring of sponsorship support from local businesses, including:
- Ament Construction Inc.
- Blue Diamond Plumbing, Inc.
- Capling Leveling, Inc.
- ET Air LLC
Adding to the excitement, The Garage Gals Motorsports Meet & Greet rolled in with a show of horsepower that drew in both kids and parents throughout the afternoon.
Whether it’s a fresh fade, a clean shave, a senior discount, or even a mullet revival, Country Cuts continues to live up to its reputation as Buckingham’s hometown barbershop.
