A Buckingham Christmas: Country Cuts Leads the Way in Giving

Every year, Buckingham shows just how strong a small community can be — and this Christmas season, Country Cuts Barber Shop is once again at the heart of it all. The team has been rallying customers, neighbors, and friends for their annual Toys for Tots drive, and the response has been nothing short of inspiring.

Boxes fill up fast at the barbershop, tucked inside the Buckingham Publix Plaza, where locals stop in for a trim and leave behind something far more meaningful: a brand-new, unwrapped toy that will go directly to a child in Southwest Florida. From the earliest morning cuts to the last appointment of the day, people are walking in with gifts, smiles, and stories of why they give.

Owner Billy Youngs says this drive means more than just collecting toys — it’s about who Buckingham is.

“We’re more than a barbershop — we’re a family out here,” Billy said. “Every toy in that box is a reminder that this community looks out for its kids. That’s what makes Buckingham special.”

As the deadline approaches, Country Cuts is encouraging everyone to get their donations in. The Toy Drive ends Saturday, November 29, and the final drop-off day before the deadline is Friday, November 28 at 5:00 PM. Billy and the team are hoping to overflow the Toys for Tots box one more time before pickup day arrives.

If you haven’t dropped off a toy yet, there’s still time — and your gift could be the one that makes a child’s Christmas morning shine a little brighter.
